Immich
photos.itzgee.com
The photo library that never phones home.
replaces Google Photos · iCloud Photos
Immich is a private photo and video platform with the polish of the big services: automatic phone backup, a fast timeline, albums, sharing and machine-learning search. The difference is where the intelligence runs — facial recognition and object search happen on this hardware, and your memories never leave it.
what it does
Automatic mobile backup
The iOS and Android apps upload new photos and videos in the background. Lose the phone, keep the memories.
Search by what’s in the picture
“Dog on a beach”, “red car”, a person’s face — the ML models index your library so you can find anything in seconds.
On-node intelligence
Face grouping and smart search run on the server itself. No cloud API sees a single pixel.
Albums & sharing
Organise into albums and share them with other people on the platform, or via link.
RAW and video friendly
Handles RAW formats and transcodes video for smooth playback on any device.

How it runs here.
- identity
- single sign-on via the platform login, passkey sign-in
- ml
- recognition and search models run on srv01 — zero third-party APIs
- storage
- per-plan quota on NVMe, encrypted at rest
- backups
- included in the nightly encrypted cross-site pull
Runs inside the same defences as everything else here — /security for the layered defences, /mesh for the tunnel it's backed up across.
access
How access works.
Immich is granted per person — there's no public signup for the rack. A network account gets you the site and the full /utils suite; access to individual apps like Immich is requested separately and granted case by case, so the rack stays private.
